HACCP COURSES
Implementing HACCP - 'Safety Food, Better Business'
In addition to the following courses, we can also help you put in place a Food Standards Agency approved food safety management system - 'Safer Food, Better Business' - in order to comply with current legislation regarding HACCP.
Length: 3 hour individual consultation plus 1 hour follow-up visit when appropriate to you.
Assessment: In-house certificate issued acknowledging guidance received on implementation of 'Safer Food, Better Business'.
Price: £150 which includes 'Safer Food, Better Business' pack and in-house (CPD) certificate
RSPH LEVEL 4 HACCP
Length of course: 5 days
Suitable for: Proprietors, HACCP Team Leaders, Food Safety Managers and Customer Auditors
Subjects include: Importance of HACCP-based food safety management systems
Management and implementation of HACCP-based procedures
Development of HACCP based procedures
Evaluation of HACCP-based procedures
Leading a HACCP team
Assessment: The examination will consist of two papers; paper one will consist of six questions from a choice of eight, which have to be answered in two hours; paper two will consist of a case study to be completed in 90 minutes

CIEH Level 3 Award in HACCP in Catering.
EU legislation requires food businesses have a documented food safety management system in place, based on HACCP principles.
Length of course: 1 day
Suitable for: Proprietors, supervisors, line managers of small to medium-sized businesses.
Subjects include:
- Policies, controls and standards
- Codex principles of HACCP
- Food safety management tools
Assessment: Assignment
Successful candidates will receive a certificate from CIEH.

HABC Level 3 HACCP in Manufacturing
Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 requires that ‘those responsible for the development and maintenance of the HACCP principles have received adequate training in the application of the HACCP principles’. In order for employees to competently and confidently deal with this requirement, a thorough understanding of Codex HACCP principles is needed.
Length of course: 2 day
Suitable for: Proprietors, supervisors, line managers of small to medium-sized businesses.
Subjects include: How to identify, control and monitor significant hazards at points which are critical to food safety
The appropriate corrective action to take when critical limits are breached
The type of documentation and records required
An understanding of the need to review the HACCP system at appropriate times
Assessment: Exam -2 hour multi-choice paper
Successful candidates will receive a certificate from HABC.
